Memories of winter mountaineering on Scottish and Welsh mountains; walking shorelines of rough winter seas, wind howling across the surface of lochs and lakes. I specifically recall the North face of Stob Corrie Nan Lochan, Glencoe, Jan 2014.

ELEMENTS OF WINTER series: elemental forces experienced during wintertime. Water is often mutable between liquid, solid and gas. Land is covered and uncovered, exposed / vulnerable and blanketed / safe. Harsh realities of survival can be prominent juxtaposed with a stark cleansing beauty. #sensuouspractice
