The Weddell Sea whose waters journey across expanses of our globe created initially on the surface by winds driving sea-ice and icebergs in a clockwise vortex, forming eddies 25-37 miles across; these vast gyres generate deep water currents that transport heat around the globe.
EMBEDDED IN THE FLESH OF THE WORLD series exploring memory embodied; reactivating gestures, marks, punctuations, recalling encounters with/in the world. I remembered walking with the wind howling around me, debris/leaves swirling; I remembered running across different terrain, sometimes falling, slipping, being sucked into the mud; I remembered hiding in the grass, swimming in bodies of water; I remembered touching, feeling, sensing, almost belonging. The physicality of my making as sensuous as the materials I use, I am embedded in these forms. #sensuouspractice
