The leggings in this sculpture have borne multitudinous minutes, of activity. In the installation, like the sinews and muscles and fat that make my corporeal form, these weavings come bursting forth, like rivulets of sweat, merging into rivers, streaming across the beach back towards the sea. 

PERDURANCE series: Exploration of the concept of perdurance, where individuals are composed of temporal parts that are constantly changing dependant on time and the relationships with others/environment. Durational works utilising sensuous, tactile media in response to corporeal encounters running/walking/dwelling and documenting as a sensing being, they are extensions of the rhythms of the body. The repetitive acts of chaining and knotting are a meditative process connecting past, present and future in iterative loops. In perdurance my form, my thoughts, my spirit is not fixed: Mmiri Mmiri / I am fluid.
